Students have been introduced to various places in the studio. Right now the Kindergarten classes are welcome to use three areas throughout the work periods; sensory, paint, and drama. Soon we will meet the clay! In the studio the students have an opportunity to work with their hands and explore, showing amazing creativity. There is a total of four students welcome to work in each of these areas, two from the Water class and two from the Earth class.
SENSORY
Emily and Martin work with water at the sensory table. They are watching the way the water changes as they rotate and move their hands in different directions.
Students learn the best ways to carry our new drama blocks. Learning these strategies is helpful when telling a story with our classmates.
Ms. Pargellis introduces the drama blocks and how to tell a story with these new blocks in the studio. The students work together to try and build a safe, strong and beautiful staircase.
Anchilles and Kennedi work side by side to finish their own paintings. The paint challenge for the students is to try and fill the entire paper with paint. It has been wonderful to view the beautiful masterpieces they have created.
Throughout the next few weeks we will meet and explore more areas in the studio. Learning to walk from the studio to the classroom has given the students a sense of independence. What a wonderful addition to our day!
