Reading Buddies

After school, on Thursdays, you may hear the words "Reading Buddy" from your child. This year the Kindergarten classes have the opportunity to partner with a sixth grade student and friend from the Earth class. In the group, the sixth grade buddy reads to the Kindergarten students as they take turns choosing stories. It has been a wonderful chance to expand our friendships and hear stories from experienced readers!

Reading with the junior high students has been such a nice experience. When our reading time is over we meet together and reflect. We discuss our favorite stories and why we liked the time we spent together. We thank our sixth grade buddies and continue with our day!
